About Edaphosaurus[]
Edaphosaurus (meaning "pavement lizard") is a genus of extinct edaphosaurid synapsids that lived in what is now North America and Europe around 303.4 to 272.5 million years ago, during the Late Carboniferous to Early Permian. American paleontologist Edward Drinker Cope first described Edaphosaurus in 1882, naming it for the "dental pavement" on both the upper and lower jaws.[1]
In Game[]
Edaphosaurus has high health but low attack, making it good at tanking hits to reserve points. Its role is the opposite of glass cannons, such as Metriacanthosaurus.

No rewards are given upon unlocking stage 1 and 2 of Edaphosaurus. There is also a lack of food and/or DNA given upon unlocking stage 3 and 4. More rewards might be added in the future.
There is a typo on stage 3's fact. "Surprisingly" was mispelled as "surpisngly".

Trivia[]
- Despite being a herbivore in real life, the Edaphosaurus in Jurassic World: The Game is a carnivore, likely due to having the Synapsid animation set, which displays the process of eating meat in the eating animation.
