About Sonorasaurus[]

Sonorasaurus is a genus of brachiosaurid dinosaur from the Early to Late Cretaceous (Albian to Cenomanian stages, around 112 to 93 million years ago). It was a herbivorous sauropod whose fossils have been found in southern Arizona in the United States. Its name, which means "Sonora lizard", comes from the Sonoran Desert where its fossils were first found. The type species is S. thompsoni, described by Ratkevich in 1998.^[1]

Sonorasaurus is an herbivore first teased in social media posts. The teaser image displayed a vertical-necked sauropod with two ridges on its head, leading many to believe it was Sonorasaurus over other species.^[2]^[3] The assumptions proved to be correct when Sonorasaurus was revealed as the tournament creature for the week following the announcement.

Sonorasaurus is a tanky creature, with a much higher health stat than its attack. This makes it good for saving Action Points, since it can potentially stay in for more turns and take more hits than a creature with lower health.
