Spinosaurus is a genus of theropod dinosaur that lived in what now is North Africa, during the lower Albian to lower Cenomanian stages of the Cretaceous period, about 95 million years ago. It is currently the longest theropod to have ever existed, at 50 feet in length, 13 feet in height, and 6.8 tons in weight.^[1]

In Game[]

Spinosaurus can be unlocked in an Earth Shattering Event. Once unlocked, it can be purchased for 1500 DNA. A level 40 Spinosaurus can be fused with a level 40 Utahraptor to create Spinoraptor.

Spinosaurus is most useful from early to mid-game. It seems to be a bit more of a tank, instead of a glass canon. It is beaten by Velociraptor Gen 2, Baculites, Ankylosaurus, and Stegosaurus. However, it still has a use in late-game play because it can be fused into Spinoraptor, which can be further fused into Spinotasuchus.

Spinosaurus was seen in Jurassic Park 3 and as a skeleton in Jurassic World.
Despite demonstrating its ability to kill a Tyrannosaurus rex in the movies, the Spinosaurus was added to the game as a Super Rare instead of being a Legendary.
